About WooCommerce Reports

WooCommerce provides two types of reporting for your site. The first is WooCommerce Reports and the second is WooCommerce Analytics, which is only available with WordPress 5.3 or higher. This article will help to explain the different reports available in WooCommerce Reports, available at WooCommerce > Reports.

Orders

Orders are at the core of your shop. This simple report lets you view everything from your top sellers and top earners, to your gross and net sales, numbers, and volume totals. It should be noted that, by default, the report only includes data from orders that are in either Processing, On Hold or Completed statuses.

There are a number of options within the Orders section, which are detailed below.

Sales by date

This line graph can show you order data by within a selected time frame: last year, last month, this month, or the last seven days. For more in-depth reports, you can use the Custom date field to produce a graph for the span of time you'd like. Everything is color-coded. By hovering over a point on the graph, you'll see the exact figure for that point.

Sales by product

Just like the Sales by date report, this report allows you to see details from last year, last month, this month, the last seven days, or during a custom date range. The products that were sold in that period of time will appear on the left.

Sales by category

In the Categories widget, you can select the categories you'd like to review, or you may also select All, then select Show to display the report.

Coupons by date

You can view data on coupons from last year, last month, this month, the last seven days, or during a custom date range. You can view the total value of discounts used in, addition to the number of coupons used. You can also filter by coupon, allowing you to view the most popular coupons, and coupons that provided the most discounts.

Customer downloads

Within WooCommerce, Downloads have unique identification numbers. This allows them to be logged, tracked, and view when a download has occurred. It also allows you to track the product details, such as the file name and which order is associated with the download. It also shows you the IP address of the downloader. You can also filter downloads by clicking on Product, Order, or IP address.

Customers

The Customer reports allow you to view reports from last year, last month, this month, the last seven days, or during a custom date range. The Customers vs. Guests report shows you registered users (Customers) against guests (those who haven't registered). The Customer List section only shows users who are registered at your site who have placed an order.

Stock

This report will show you items that are Low in stock, Out of stock, and Most stocked.

Taxes

The report for Taxes lets you view Taxes by code (for example, state) as well as Taxes by date. As with the other reports, this can easily show you information for the last year, last month, present month, last seven days, or your own custom date range.

Export CSV

Barring the Stock report, all of the reports may be exported to a CSV file. Select Export CSV in the top right-hand corner of the report, then either Save or View the resulting file. Note that if your browser doesn't support the Download property, this option will be hidden.
