For some unknown reason , the definition of stored procedures vanishes in shared hosting. Called customer support. Was informed that stored procedures are available only for a limited duration in shared hosting. Minimum duration it would be available - no information. Advise - use VPS .
I strongly believe that GoDaddy should document this limitation and state as much.
Any workaround or solution to this problem ?
This is an issue among other hosting providers as well. Apparently, stored procedures are stored in a root area, which is bad for security, so hosting providers may disable them on shared servers. Python-MySQL communication may be impacted as well.
And, no, this was not documented by my other host either.
