Can't choose HTTPS for new Wordpress installation

Hi,

When trying to install new Wordpress site using Installatron I don't see an option for HTTPS for specific subdomain that I've created.

What am I missing?

Re: Can't choose HTTPS for new Wordpress installation

Hey there!

So, in the dropdown it's not showing an option to select https?

That is strange and you might want to call hosting support if it continues. However, you do have other options to make the change.

First one is to update the home and site URL in the WordPress installation itself by going to the general settings and adding the https.

Second, you can use PHPMyAdmin, find the database table for that installation, find the Options table, and then find both the home and site URL (that's how they're listed in the table.) From there, you just update the http designation to https.

Note: if you don't have an actual SSL installed properly on the server, it'll throw insecure warning or mismatch errors.

Hope that helps!

Re: Can't choose HTTPS for new Wordpress installation

Hi Joe,

Actually the issue was that I didn't apply the wildcard certificate to the new subdomain.

Ahh, yep... that would also do it. Glad you found the answer!
