I have emailed and confirmed this works only with a GoCentral online store. If you have the Premium Online Store as I do, it will not work.
the best solution, hands down, is to use cart2cart migration for the transfer of products to another platform. godaddy is borderline criminal for holding your products "hostage." i had over 2000 unique products (descriptions, photos, etc) and the cart2cart app seamlessly migrated these to my shopify store. you can then download the csv for edit and/or any other reason.
There really should be an option to download from a Godaddy site to a cvs file for purposes outside of Godaddy sales. Many owners sell outside of a website. This would be convenient to be able to match actual inventory with online inventory, have a record for taxes, cross-checking that online and in-store are the same, etc.
If you can upload (which I believe is importing to not exporting) to the site then you should be able to download (which is exporting from Godaddy).
Please consider adding this feature. We pay quite a bit each month for Godaddy service with not many or useful conveniences.
In addition, it would be nice to see some new website designs. The ones available are old and stagnant.
The Online Store (Premium Online Store) is the original godaddy shop/store solution. Go Central is their newest offering as of this year from what the sales guys told me. That link has worked for a few people early on that have the Online Store like I do. There are several of us that attempted to use they plug-in that the link provides only to learn that it costs money and is virtually useless. In the case of the GoCentral shops I can almost guarantee it will not work since that product wasn't available when this thread started.
That wasn't a reply to your cart2cart entry, it was a reply to another user about the godaddy exporter related plug-in that the GC moderator posted as a solution back in 2017.
cart2cart might work just fine for anyone wanting to leave godaddy's shops (which I agree with you may be some user's only options).
Ive just spoken to support, and they ARE STILL LOOKING AT THIs. Kind of ridiculous dont you think? People have been complaining since 2016, and all they want to do is offer me an upgarde to something I DONT even understand...trying to sell rockets to someone who needs a car. Terribly disappointed that months and months of work is going to go down the tube...Im going to search for a webhosting site which can offer me what I need
It's always advisable to do your research before purchasing a product to ascertain whether it will meet your needs. You can't blame the company offering the product if you didn't do the due diligence of research. In the IT world, one size does NOT fit all. You need to take a bit more responsibility for your success and stop relying so much on a company to do it for you.
My two cents.
That being said, it sounds like you may want to look at a platform like WordPress for the ability to do pretty much whatever you want or even a dedicated e-commerce solution like Shopify.

Does anyone know if this http://export-godaddy-products.com solution is Go Daddy sanctioned? I don’t want to open up my store to some phishing program.
Not that I don’t trust the original poster of this link, I just don’t trust any URL that is not easy to verify.
PS Go Daddy you guys really should come up with a built in solution!!!
Thats interesting...A simple platform like Etsy gives me the tools that I pay for...yet when I pay more to my domain provider which states it offers me a business 'shop'...should it not provide me with the tools I need?
I understand the frustration but not every platform is built the same. GoDaddy doesn't own, operate, or code Etsy's platform. It's not a fair comparison, to be honest.

I agree with you and echo your sentiments. There seems to be no one listening and no way to get these deficiencies addressed. The Excel exports are simply too inconsistent and seemingly error-ridden to develop any sort of process around. The front-end is sexy but the back-end seems unworkable and "can't be fixed; take it or leave it..." I am searching for a better option, too.
I'm glad I came across this thread. We are a wholesaler with 1000s of products. Without the ability to export, update, and upload its a waste of time and energy. We do not sell widgets so we must have the ability to easily update inventory via a spreadsheet. Ugh!!
Not sure why this isn't a priority for them.
Thanks for sharing these concerns around exporting product export. Could you share little more information around the need export products?
1. Is the primary reason to export product is to bulk update fields and import back ?
2. What are the most common fields you want to update in bulk?
3. If we build a bulk edit capability into the tool, would that suffice your need.
Your feedback would help us prioritize the feature, among so many capabilities we have been working to bring it to you.

here is what i would say - i am very glad that you are actually addressing this issue AFTER i switched to shopify. with godaddy i was on page, like, 35 of google, now i am ranking first or second location for all my keywords. my advice, SWITCH to a different platform - migrate products with a migration service. in the end you will be grateful.
This is compounded when otherwise identically structured items download to Excel with the order of "line item add-ons" scrambled and concatenated within a single cell.
Why? because I need to do an inventory of what I actually have in stock from time to time and it is easiest with being able to print out a hard copy to use.
I agree with others an will most likely just look for a new store support program instead of the premium online store. After seeing that GoDaddy has been avoiding this issue for many years, I have doubts about their concern for their clients.
Sorry to hear GoDaddy wants me to go elsewhere, but if that is what they want then I will comply
Thanks for sharing the detail. Knowing why our customers need certain functionality helps us to understand importance of the feature and prioritize it on our roadmap. We have included this feature on our near team roadmap and I'll share an ETA after we get a chance to plan out the implementation. Please stay tuned.
Thanks for you patience,
Product Manager, Online stores
Hi, I'm a web designer working on a client's site and investigating options for re-building their store as they have products scattered all over Ebay, Etsay, Wix and Woo Commerce. I was attracted to the Godaddy store option because of the new Marketplace integration. Because they would be adding individual products to their Godaddy store moving forward, I would need to be able to download the entire inventory periodically in order to keep track and for editing.
But another essential feature is to be able to have multiple image URLs in the CSV upload. A product can have multiple images, I need to be able to add them via CSV.
At this time, lacking these features, I'm compelled to look elsewhere for ways to solve this problem.
Here's why Shopify thinks it's important...
You can export your products to a CSV file to help with several tasks:
Alright Mr. Product Manager, what is the ETA of this feature... people have been asking for this for two years!
Are you afraid that if I can export my inventory that I'll dump it into another website and leave GoCentral? THEN MAKE GOCENTRAL FEATURE RICH.
The only advantage that I give to GoDaddy is that you answer your telephone. But truth be told, that is because you UPSELL, UPSELL, AND UPSELL some more!
I am BRAND NEW to this. I may not be understanding something fully.
I got a domain name. yay
then i created a "storefront?"
But I am trying to create product.... HELP
Welcome to the Community!
We've got a ton of articles that can help you with building your store and adding products. There are even videos available to get you started. Here are some general articles for many of the actions you'll want to take in your store. To specifically add a product, you can check out this link.
I need to manage my inventory. I sell on multiple platforms including Amazon (which you don't support the the level seller that I am) and others...
I also buy my products from multiple sources, and in many cases because I cannot look up my products I duplicate purchases.
I don't just need to export my, I need to manage it. I need to keep track of UPC's, order rate, low quantity, FIFO, LIFO, cost, cost plus burden, etc.
Make GoCentral Feature Rich... shutup all your critics!
You folks are funny here at GoDaddy, GoCentral is so deficient in capabilities that you ignore, and then someone says they have a fix, i.e. A $29.95 a month subscription, and you mark it as SOLVED. I call B.S.
BTW, if you go to "Marketplaces" all of your products populate, and you can sort by SKU, name, etc. So why not let me export that data... come on, you guys can fix this in one hour and that would include testing!
