Controlling font style when using HTML

Hi.  When I insert some HTML code (actually it looks like CSS but I'm not across that) onto my site, it seems to default to some font style other than what is being used for the other pages on the theme.

How can I control the font style to force it to follow the same style used for the theme?

Below is a redacted version of what I'm trying to use:

    <a href="URL" title="title of page" style="text-decoration: none; padding: 11px 20px; font-size: 15px; color: #fff; border: none; background-color: #00cc52; font-weight: 400; border-radius: 3px;" target="_blank">Message</a>

    Many thanks
