Database problem: WordPress in new directory

Hi,

I tried to install wordpress in a newly created directory. No idea what went wrong, it installed in root directory and all of my old database gone. My original 10 years old website became new worldpress. I had backed up a long back in 2009.
How can I restore to the recent ? Do godaddy keep backup?
... pls help 😞

Re: Database problem

Login to your cPanel to inspect your backup settings:  The cPanel box looks like this

Check the status of your backups here.  A key setting will be whether or not you setup automatic backups - just follow the wizard or click into the Backups folder and see if there are any file/subfolders.  If  you haven't already, call GoDaddy support.  They will walk you through a search on your server for backups.

Also, look under your my-phpadmin panel and see if there are any restores that you may have made as updated your site.

Hope this helps,

James
