Wildcard Cert, Exchange, Active Sync and iPhone connectivity issues

Hi,

Having an issue where iPhone users are getting an error when connecting to our Exchange 2007 server (Active Sync). Started yesterday.

https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ shows:

"Potential compatibility problems were identified with some versions of Windows Phone.

The certificate is not trusted on any version of Windows Phone device. Root = CN=Starfield Root Certificate Authority - G2, O="Starfield Technologies, Inc.", L=Scottsdale, S=Arizona, C=US".

Wildcard cert is *.vikt.no and is in use at https://mail.vikt.no/owa

According to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208125 iOS 11 supports root cert with policy ident 2.16.840.1.114414.1.7.24.3.

Do we need to get a new cert to fix this?

Ronny

Re: Wildcard Cert, Exchange, Active Sync and iPhone connectivity issues

I'm not familiar with that specific error, so I'd encourage you to reach out to our SSL specialists for guidance on how to proceed.  You can find the email & phone number for our SSL teams here: https://uk.godaddy.com/help/what-if-i-notice-a-problem-with-an-ssl-or-code-signing-certificate-6798.... Thanks.
